AARON MICHAEL FANTHORPE

Aaron Michael Fanthorpe is Aaron Smith's pseudonym for his works in the Genesis Project Universe. Aaron was born January 04, 1982 in Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada to parents Michael and Debby Smith. Raised in Fort St. John, B.C., Grande Prairie, Alberta and Taylor, B.C. Aaron now lives in Coffee Creek, B.C. where he heads up the works of Genesis Project. Aaron began writing at age 10, his first attempt was a sci-fi story called Millennium Falcon, later renamed Condor. Condor featured characters John Pmac and James Foog who survived many, many different stories and incarnations, until becoming major villains in Aaron's first published work Genesis Project: After the End, Comes the Beginning. Aaron is the head writer and creator of Genesis Project, but he did not create the universe on his own, he received a great deal of help from younger brothers Patrick and Vance.

The Genesis Project Universe took shape through the years, the greatest push really beginning in 1997 when such races as Folorians and Alasians were created. Genesis Project was coined later in the year as a separate series, what is now known as Genesis Project, was then known as UPA: United Planetary Alliance. More drafts and hours and hours and months and years of writing led to the original After the End, Comes the Beginning drafts. Originally conceived as a first person perspective story, After the End, Comes the Beginning was re-written again and several more times following, changing from hard science fiction to fantasy and from a time travel story into... not a time travel story.

Aaron sought his brother Patrick's help in 2003 and together they shaped and reformed the story again into what is now Genesis Project: After the End, Comes the Beginning. After several rejections from publishers (however, there was interest from Del-Rey Books) Aaron and Patrick decided to independently publish their novel through Trafford Publishing, out of Victoria B.C. Canada. As an independent novel, Aaron and Patrick retained full rights to their story and have been endeavoring to create a universe of adventure stories that appeal to readers of the fantasy & science fiction genre.

Aaron's future plans include expanding the Genesis Project universe in as many ways as possible, from comics to film.
